Schools To Beef Up Learning Outcomes Through Convergence

To improve
learning results among learners in EMBO High Schools in this School Year
2025-2026 and in the next years, EMBO High Schools opened their Brigada Eskwela
week with a 2-day Seminar Workshop entitled, “Improving Learning Outcomes
Through Collaborative Expertise Across the Curriculum in EMBO
Schools” last June 9-10, 2025 at Makati Science High School; this endeavor was
in line with the Brigada Eskwela theme “Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama
Para sa Bayang Bumabasa”, which highlighted a nationwide effort and
volunteerism on literacy development.
The mentioned training was anchored and is an answer to the call of Republic Act No. 9155 An Act Instituting a Framework of Governance for Basic Education, Establishing Authority and Accountability, Renaming the Department of Education, Culture and Sports as the Department of Education, and for other Purposes specifically on this:
consistent
with the national educational policies, plans and standards, the school heads
shall have authority, accountability and responsibility for the following: (3)
Implementing the school curriculum and being accountable for higher learning
outcomes, (5) Offering educational programs, projects and services which
provide equitable opportunities for all learners in the community; and (6)
Introducing new and innovative modes of instruction to achieve higher learning
outcomes.
EMBO High Schools comprised of the 5 schools which are Benigno Ninoy Aquino High School, Fort Bonifacio High School, Makati Science High School, Pitogo High School, and Tibagan High School.
The 5 principals from each school namely Dr. Felix T. Bunagan, Dr. Alixander H. Escote, Dr. Owen B. Ombid, Mr. Rosalito N. Palatan and Mrs. Eden F. Samadan respectively worked hand in hand, together with the head teachers and coordinators, to come up with the workshop.
The said collaboration training outputs would be implemented this school year.
